Vineyards
Growing area: the Marche, in the province of Ancona.
Location: the vineyards are sited in the finest growing areas for red wines.
Age: 5-20 years.
Soils: the soils derive from limestone-marl rocks interspersed with zones of dark-red earth, clay and Plio-Pleistocene era rock.
Aspect and elevation: all the vineyards are on hills at 130-250 m. with good exposure to solar radiation.
Varieties and growing practices
Grapes : 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Training system: guyot, double guyot and spurred cordon.
Vineyard density: 2500-3500 vines per hectare.
Yield: 8-9 t. of grape.
Vinification
Harvest: hand-picked and partly by machine.
Vinification: fermented in cement vats with frequent pumpovers each day. The wine ages in French oak barrels for 6 months and matures in bottle in air-conditioned warehouse.
Tasting notes
Appearance: a liminous ruby red tending to garnet at the rim.
Bouquet: floral scents with herbal aromas, intense, appealing bouquet with more evolved tomes from its barrels. Intense, persistent and complex on the nose.
Palate: sapid with supple tannins, smooth and round, perfectly balanced by the alcohol.

Cellaring
It can already be enjoyed in the year following harvest, but it will give its best after 4/5 years from harvest.
Serving suggestions
Meat-sauced pastas like lamb ragout or bolognese. Perfect with loin of veal, ossobuco (braised veal shank slice), tripe and braised beef. Excellent with typical roman dishes like coda alla vaccinara (oxtail).
