Vineyards
Growing area: the Marche, province of Ancona.
Location: all the vineyards are in the “Classico” Verdicchio production area.
Age: 8-30 years.
Soils: derived from alluvially-deposited seabed sediment, predominantly Plio-Pleistocene and Miocene clay and sand.
Aspect and elevation: 150-380 m.
Varieties and growing practices
Grapes: 100% Verdicchio.
Training system: guyot and arched cane.
Vineyard density: 1700-3000 vines per hectare.
Yield: 12-14 t. of grapes/ha.
Vinification
Harvest: manual picking and by machine.
Vinification: gentle pressing and gravity cold-settling of the juice are followed by fermentation at controlled temperature with selected yeasts.
Maturation: the wine matures in steel tanks sur lie, then in bottle in temperature controlled storage.
Tasting notes
Appearance: straw-yellow colour flecked with green, typical of the grape.
Bouquet: forward aromas of apple and citrus, especially grapefruit, accompanied by subtle bitter hawthorn, acacia and elderberry blossoms. Long and intense.
Palate: dry and smooth, which accentuates the wine’s freshness, with good support from the alcohol.

12,00% vol.
Cellaring
A wine with a characteristic, traditional taste, it gives its best when consumed within 2/3 years form harvest.
Serving suggestions
Considered one of the best white wine for small pelagic fish, this wine will partner beautifully either with sea-food or with poultry and rabbit.
